Okay, I’m gonna shoot down some Street Fighter x Tekken rumors because I am sick and tired of seeing everyone panicking over fake **** and screaming that Capcom is going to rip you off with day 1 DLC that is already on the disc.

Somebody made it up and convinced a ton of people that it was real. It’s not. Stop posting it.
However there WILL be some Day 1 DLC, but nothing like that. The ONLY DLC on Day 1 are a FREE Color Edit pack and the Costume Swap costumes. Interestingly enough, that guy got the pricing for it right. There will be a SF pack, a Tekken pack, and a combined pack that costs a bit less than the two separate. The rest of that list is completely false.
HOWEVER, there WILL be DLC characters proximately 1 month after release, and SOME (not all) of their data IS on the disc. Cody and Guy are true, but Leo and Christie are not. Though they ARE DLC characters and will be released eventually, they are not the first Tekken DLC characters. It is actually Jack X and Alisa.
The remainder of the DLC characters will be released approximately 2 months apart from each other, and will be released as such:
1st set: Cody, Guy, Jack X, Alisa
2nd set: Dudley, Elena, Leo, Christie
3rd set: Yun, Yang, Bryan, Lei
Capcom also expects to release two more DLC packs in the future. However, the contents of the packs are still up in the air. They’re listening to fans for the DLC they haven’t decided on, and they’re throwing a lot of names around, but nothing is set in stone yet. You can probably expect to see some popular characters like Sakura, Karin, R.Mika, Alex and Fei Long among the future DLC characters, but again, nothing has been decided yet.
The DLC characters will be able to be purchased single or altogether. Capcom’s goal with the DLC in this game is to sell MORE DLC for less money, making more money in the end. Each single character will be $3, or you can buy a pack of all 4 in a release set for $10.
And before somebody says it, no Blanka is NOT playable. He appears in a cutscene in some team’s story modes. That’s it. There’s several other non-playable characters that appear during the story mode as well.
As for Gems, the pre-order exclusive gems will be available for purchase approximately 1 month after release, and the special edition exclusive gems should be available approximately 2 months after release. They will cost $3 per pack. One new gem pack will be released every month after that, for however long Capcom feels like making more.
One more thing. Costumes. Yes, Capcom is going to release lots of costume packs, probably 3 or 4 by the time the game is done being updated. They’ll run for about the same price as the first Costume Swap pack.

Sakura and Karin both appear in Lily and Asuka’s story. They get defeated in an offscreen fight. Alex appears in any “good” Street Fighter team story, along with Sean. They sacrifice themselves to help your characters get closer to Pandora near the end.

Artwork and such. You get points and can spend it on little bonus things. It’s supposed to be a “history of Street Fighter and Tekken” kind of thing. One cool thing is that there’s a bunch of menu screens that you can buy that have different characters clashing with each other. You can put whichever one you want on any of the customizable screens.

Good Side: 1st: M.Bison x Juri. 2nd: Heihachi x Kuma. 3rd: M.Bison x Heihachi. 4th: Akuma x Ogre. 5th: Pandora Soul.
Evil Side: 1st: Ryu x Ken. 2nd: Jin x Xiaoyu. 3rd. Ryu x Jin. 4th: Akuma x Ogre. 5th:Pandora Soul.
As for that final boss (MAJOR SPOILER) Pandora Soul is a pair of two glowing dark energy balls. They can transform into any character (they transform when they come in from tag), but they always have Pandora Mode strength.

There will not be a Super version. People are pissed about stuff like SSF4AE and UMvC3 and Capcom has taken notice. There’s been some discussion of a “Game of the Year Edition” type deal where you can buy the game with all the DLC characters after everything has been released, but that’s not set in stone yet.

You can’t, sadly. Capcom wants to make as much money as possible off gems. However, you can make a Lobby Name that says “No Gems”, but people don’t have to obey it.

UMvC3’s weak sales are part of why Capcom has vowed not to make a Super version of SFxT.
It’s not that Capcom as a whole hates Alex, it’s ONO that hates Alex. He hates Karin too, for that matter. That’s mostly why they never made it into SF4.
CFAS will never be made. Probably.
The other two… Really not in my jurisdiction, sorry.

I forgot to mention before who the Arcade Mode bosses were. The final boss of Arcade Mode is always Akuma x Ogre but the next-to-final boss differs depending on your team. Even if you’re playing as that character, they’ll still be the same.

Just a costume for Kuma. She does appear in a scene during Zangief and Rufus’ story though.
I think I need to elaborate on story mode a bit since some people think it’s going to be this huge thing, which it isn’t.
When you start Story Mode, you have to pick one of the official teams. It will play their little static intro video that you’ve probably seen online. Then you’ll have an intro fight. For example, Ryu and Ken fight Kazuya and Nina. Then you’ll get another static cutscene like the intro. That’s pretty much how all the cutscenes are aside from the CG trailers that you’ve seen thusfar (there’s a few more in the game though), just a couple pictures talking to each other. There are, of course, exceptions, like the scene in which Alex and Sean save your characters towards the end of a Good route.
The fights are mostly fixed, though there’s some random ones as well. For example, a little ways into story mode, a whole bunch of characters show up in the same town and a fight breaks out. You’ll get matched up against two random teams from the group during that part.
Most of the characters follow the same few paths to get to Pandora, so there’s actually very little difference in the flow of story mode depending on who you pick. The biggest differences come from whether your team is Good or Evil.
I am longtime sufferer of having what I believe to be an existential crisis. I have gone to psychologists in the past 2 years, and I wont say that I have depression but I wont say that I dont either. I dont believe I do to an emotional unbalancing point, but I cant say for sure its not underlying somewhere around there. As I write this, I frankly am holding back some tears in a sense because I have done an emotional breakthrough for myself. Im not a big movie buff, I usually watch movies just once or twice and then barely watch them again. Tonight was different, I watched one of my favorite movies of all time “Lost In Translation”. The movie always made me sentimental, but the movies catchphrase actually was the thing that made me go, “wow this is it”. The phrase is “Everybody just wants to be found”. I actually am happy because I did just that, I think I found myself after more than 6 years of searching. Now Im sad cause I dont know what to do and also because I dont have the answer to the question I need to have answered. But then again, it’s good to see me. Atleast Im not crying alone tonight.
